This is by far one of my favourite DIY natural alternatives to make when it comes to hygiene products! You only need a minimum of two ingredients and it is such an affordable recipe.

- Cloves (The main ingredient) are known to have been used as a natural toothache remedy dating back many years!
All Natural Homemade Mouthwash Recipe

You will need:
- 1 Sterilised jar
- 1 tbsp Dried cloves
- 1 Cinnamon stick (Optional)
- Water
How to make:
Step 1) Take your sterilised jar & add in 1 tablespoon of cloves
Step 2) Add in 1 cinnamon stick (Optional)
Step 3) Carefully fill the jar with boiling water leaving around a 1” gap between the water and the top of the jar
Step 4) Loosely cover the jar with the lid without tightening it and leave to cool down
Step 5) When cooled, tighten the jar and leave for 2+ hours
Step 6) Strain the cloves (and cinnamon if used) so you are left with just the water
Now you will have a jar of homemade mouthwash! Store in your bathroom – it should last around 1 week 🙂
How to use:
- Simply rinse your mouth for anywhere up to 1 minute as you would with any mouthwash after following your usual oral hygiene routine.
Clove & Cinnamon Homemade Mouthwash Recipe
Equipment
- 1 Sterilised Jar
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Cloves
- 1 Cinnamon stick (Optional)
Instructions
- Take your sterilised jar and add 1 tbsp of cloves
- Add in 1 cinnamon stick (Optional)
- Carefully fill the jar with boiling water leaving roughly a 1'' gap between the water and the top of the jar
- Loosely cover the jar with the lid without tightening it and leave to cool down
- When cooled, tighten the lid and leave the jar for 2+ hours
- Then strain the cloves (and cinnamon if used) from the jar
- Now you will have your jar of newly made mouthwash! It should last for up to 1 week stored in your bathroom
- To use: Simply rinse out your mouth for up to 1 minute as you would with any mouthwash
