Equipment

  • Double boiler
  • Bottle to store oil
  • Wooden/stainless steel utensil for stirring
  • Strainer
  • Funnel

Instructions

  • Wash and fully dry the rosemary
  • Fill the bottom pot of your double boiler with around 1-1.5'' of water (be mindful that the water won't touch the base of the pot with the oil later), and place it on the stove at medium heat.
  • Whilst waiting for the water to boil, add 1 cup of olive oil to the other pot setting your intention.
  • Now add the rosemary to the oil setting your intention.
  • You may wish to stir the ingredients together now infusing the mixture further with your intentions. You could recite an incantation, use visualisation or however you would personally like to do this step to enchant the oil.
  • When the water on the stove is coming to a boil, turn the heat down to a medium-low setting.
  • Now carefully place the pot with the oil over the other pot so you have your double boiler (You may wish to use gloves to avoid burning yourself).
  • Leave the pot to simmer for 15-20 minutes whilst stirring occasionally, avoid boiling the oil.
  • After 15-20 minutes, turn off the heat - whilst wearing gloves take off the pot with the oil and place it aside leaving it to fully cool.
  • When fully cooled, strain the oil and place it into your container of choice - make sure there are no rosemary leaves left in the oil.
  • Store in a cool, dark place and use as needed.
